Prey Recap Season 2 Episode 3
Jules springs David by ramming her car into the police car that Susan and her partner are using to transport him. She tells him that Daniel will free Lucy if he obtains the key to a safe where the stolen money is. The problem is that the key is back at the prison in a storage room with the rest of Jules’ possessions.
Fortunately for David, his mates at the prison don’t know the full extent of his involvement with Jules’ escape, so they admit him. David finds the key, but then, as he is leaving the prison, the alarm is sounded, and he has to run. Jules, thinking that David has been caught, drives away and meets Daniel, who is naturally nonplussed at the failure to get the key.
David obtains a car from a friend and drives to where he thinks his daughter might be held. He rams the car into the one being driven by Jules and Daniel, rendering the latter severely injured. He proceeds on foot and finally locates Lucy locked up in the shed.
In the meantime, Susan and her partner follow a lead obtained by a GPS archive and come upon Jules desperately trying to revive Daniel. Jules tries to hold off the two detectives with a screwdriver, but she soon realizes that it is futile and allows herself to be taken into custody.
The police take Lucy to the hospital and David into custody once again. Susan suggests to David that he may not see his daughter for a long time, since he will have to answer for what he did during the hunt to find her.
The police find the safe with the money in a storage locker. Bitterest of all ironies, the money has been ruined with mildew. The episode and the season ends with Susan back at work, still uncertain what she wants to do with her personal life, her unborn child, the man who wants to marry her, and her future career path.
