Prison Break Resurrection Wine Dark Sea Season 1 Episode 7 Recap – Michael is dying and needs a doctor. While they have a boat to take him Crete, if he sees a doctor there he’ll be arrested. What to do?
Prison Break Resurrection Wine Dark Sea Season 1 Episode 7 Recap
Lincoln calls Sara to tell her of Michael’s medical condition. Sara decides she has to go herself to meet them in Crete and help Michael. She tells Jacob who is less than thrilled at the news.
As Lincoln and crew prepare to leave Phaecia Ja, touched and moved by the people in the village, decides to stay behind.
The group reaches Crete with Michael still alive and Whip tells Michael how much he means to him and how he can’t lose him. You have to wonder if there’s something more coming up for the character of Whip. We’ve been told little about him except for how much Michael means to him.
Sara arrives and is finally reunited with her husband. She is one of the few people whose blood type can be used as a transfusion for him and she gives him her own blood. Their scenes together are too short and too few, but so much fun to watch nonetheless. They still have their connection and their chemistry.
Michael looks at photos on Sara’s phone of his son and sees one of Jacob. He identifies him as Poseidon. It would have been a better twist if the show hadn’t had Sara suspicious beforehand. It was never going to be a huge surprise to have her new husband prove to be evil, but it would have felt more satisfying if we hadn’t just gone down this route a couple of episodes ago.
The Next Step
Michael realizes why Poseidon betrayed him four years ago when Poseidon shot a CIA officer and framed Michael for it. He did it because he wanted Sara for himself. But that was also the time when Michael realized Poseidon was a rogue agent, and from that point onward he started work on a plan to get back to Sara.
While Michael recovers, Lincoln and Whip put their heads together to figure out a way off Crete. With Michael still known as Kaniel Outis, it’s not an easy proposition. But then Lincoln remembers Sucre, who works with cargo ships and has a captain who doesn’t mind breaking a few rules.
Sara uses her grandmother’s ring in order to raise enough money to hire Sucra’s boat to take Michael and the others back to America while she flies to the US, with instructions from Michael to keep up the act with Jacob.
A Broken Marriage
Sara doesn’t follow orders too well. She acts extremely suspiciously around Jacob and sends a friend to go pick up Mike from a sleepover. She then gets a gun and holds Jacob at gunpoint, confronting him and demanding answers. (Just shoot him!)
Jacob insists that he does love and care about her and Mike. But he knows she sent a friend to pick up their son and he in turn has sent an armed agent to the friend’s house. If she doesn’t lower her weapon, he’ll hurt Mike.
He also alerts the US military as to Michael’s location and they send Navy SEALS after him.
Sucre and Michael are reunited on the freighter and it’s hard not to smile when you see these two together again.
When the Navy SEALS arrive, Sucre comes up with a plan to help Michael and friends escape. As they pretend to go after some hidden weapons, Sucre manages to be left alone with the ship controls and changes course, sending it straight into Algerian waters. The SEALS have to leave rather than risk starting an international incident, but Jacob is not done yet. He has the military fire a rocket at the ship.
Michael, Whip, Lincoln, and Sucre jump overboard with a lifeboat, and that’s where we leave them until next episode
This was probably the weakest episode of the season thus far. It felt the most like killing time, trying to drag out the story so that everything doesn’t end too soon. On the bright side it does feel like the show is saving something good for the wrap-up and it was nice to see a few more reunions between beloved characters. Prison Break always has something fun to offer, and this episode was no exception.
