Prison Break Resurrection Phaecia Season 1 Episode 6 Recap – A new day dawns on Yemen and Michael is trying to keep his group from fracturing at the seams.
Prison Break Resurrection Phaecia Season 1 Episode 6 Recap
One Way Out
Lincoln suggests they talk to Sheba’s friend Omar. Omar is planning to drive across the desert to a small village named Phaecia where the locals can get them out of Yemen by boat. He sets up the group, by sending them to go look for a second car for them to drive and once again they find themselves racing away from gunmen. But they do manage to escape and come back before Omar has a chance to run off, and forces him to take them with him.
Lincoln gets a call from Sheba who has made it safely to Jordan and is set to fly out to the US that evening. They make plans to meet up once they’re both in the same country again.
Eyes in the Sky
The Poseidon agents are released from jail on bail. Their mission: find Kaniel Outis and kill him.
Lincoln’s cellphone gets picked up by the NSA where Poseidon’s agents are watching and call in their location to ISIL. Cyclops also hears where they’re going and chases after them. Michael really should have killed him when he had the chance. Cyclops is a great villain though: properly slimy and dislikable, it is fun to root against him. The show has pretty much done everything it can to make him absolutely despicable.
The group stops at a gas station. While Michael is inside, sending a screenshot of his hand tattoos to someone over the internet, ISIL shows up and attacks. With only one bullet, Whip shoots a gas truck which explodes and gives the group a chance to escap, though Omar is badly wounded and eventually dies. A problem as he was the only one who knows how to find Phaecia and there are no maps or roads out in the desert.
An agent in the NSA figures out that the Poseidon agents tipped off the rebels to Michael’s location and orders them out of the building.
However the agents find out about the hand tattoo picture and go to talk to the man it was sent, who turns out to be an Elvis impersonator! I didn’t see that coming and I’m certainly interested to see where it’s going.
Cyclops is armed and hot on the trail of Michael and friends. Cyclops has more gas than they do and can follow their tracks in the desert so there’s no way to lose him.
The group decides to split the cars, sending one off to find the village and the other to lure Cyclops away. Michael pretends that the person to lure away Cyclops is chosen randomly, but in fact he makes sure that he’s the one who will do it.
But as Lincoln puts it: “When Michael takes on the world. The world always loses.”
Michael manages to fool Cyclops so he gets out of his own car and stabs Cyclops in his one good eye but Cyclops in turns stabs Michael with something contaminated with antifreeze, poisoning him. Michael takes Cyclops’s vehicle but its gas tank is shot so eventually Michael is left stranded out in the desert, injured and with no idea how to find the others.
At first the others can’t find the village, but we finally see why Michael added Ja to his crew as the man starts using his brain and points out that all they have to do is follow the seagulls to the coast where the village lies.
They reach Phaecia where all the villagers are happy and welcoming. But Lincoln is worried about Michael, and wants to go back to look for him but Ja has a better idea.
As night descends on the desert, Michael stumbles along. He collapses and it seems he’s out of options, when suddenly fireworks appear in the sky, sent up by Lincoln and the village to guide Michael to them.
Just as Lincoln gives up hope, Michael comes stumbling in from the desert. But he falls to the ground and tells Lincoln about the antifreeze. He needs a doctor. But the only doctor is back the way the group just came.
