Pretty Little Liars Playtime Season 7 Episode 11 Recap – I almost peed when I realized that it was the day that PLL was set to return… and, at the same time, I almost peed when I realized it was a week until PLL returned. I could go on… but you get the idea. We FINALLY are embarking upon our last few pages of this addictive and life-defining (or life-wasting) series that so many of us grew up on but in case you missed it…
Pretty Little Liars Playtime Season 7 Episode 11 Recap
Spencer’s alive. Toby’s alive. Yvonne is in a coma.
Spencer survived the shot heard round the world and Toby also survived his poetically-timed car crash. Yvonne (i.e. the bitchy fiancé of Toby that fans are praying will go away… far away), well, she’s in a medically-induced coma and not quite so lucky – but we are. As an extra little twist, the bullet that shot Spencer was not from Jenna’s gun despite her waving one around like an extra in a John Wayne flick. Marco, her new detective beau, revealed that she was hit with a shotgun.
A.D. is running low on budgeting after the dollhouse fiasco. So, now it’s all down to ENDGAME which is an actual board game.
The girls get one last delivery from A.D. reminiscent of the time when he/she/it/bitch delivered the magic show box back during the whole Ravenswood side plot. When Spencer removes the lid. It’s an actual board game that is basically a map of the town of Rosewood. This thing lights up, has a Spongebob font, a printer and even an app on a phone whose battery operates at some really amazing life power. It’s hilarious… and I’m here for it all day. Seriously. I tried to explain what was happening to my gal pal and it wasn’t until this very moment I realized how ridiculous the show is… and how much I don’t care.
I want this board game. Where is this board game? My life has no meaning anymore without this board game. Etsy… get on it. Send us the link.
Spencer really is Mary Drake’s child.
Spencer confronts her mom when she returns from her celebratory cruise for winning the election. It’s weird AF that she didn’t return home when Spencer was shot, but instead a few weeks later and then nonchalantly asks Spencer what happened to her. Her mom’s distance and hard-ass parenting style makes more sense when she confesses that Spencer is really Mary’s biological child. Peter slept with Mary thinking it was Jessica.
Because of this, Spencer decides to play the ENDGAME board game and is presented with a game of “Truth or Dare.” She picks dare and is sent to see Toby in the hospital. They have a heart to heart about Rosewood being a kind of vortex that keeps people sucked into it. (No truer words, folks.) Spencer earns a puzzle piece for a seemingly easy task. We don’t know yet what the puzzle pieces are for – but many fans are speculating it may be the face of A.D.
*Did you guys notice that the board game revealed a secret passage leading from the church to Radley? Looking at you, Pastor Ted!
Haleb forever… and a side of Mona.
Caleb and Hanna finally sleep together and he encourages her to go back to fashion design even though it broke them up once before. Mona wants to help so she snaps some pics (of the dresses, not NSFW Caleb and Hanna pics) and then sends them out to a Senator’s daughter. Though Hanna and Mona get in a little tiff, Mona quickly fixes it and the Senator’s daughter wears several of Hanna’s designs.
Long live the HBIC.
Bitchy Ali is back and even though it’s totally inappropriate that she’s being bitchy at work during a meeting… it’s funny as hell. Paige is the new athletic supervisor and with Emily as the new swim coach there is some major jealously (and pregnancy hormones) coming into the mix. It really looks like this is setting up to be something more with all the digs that Allison is getting in on Paige and Emily… many fans speculated last season that perhaps Emily’s stolen eggs were implanted into Ali when she was in Welby. Who knows at this point – but I ship it. I totally ship A.D. and Emily offspring. It’s going to be beautiful and evil AF… and hella-good at Pinterest crafts like Latex masks and underground bunkers. While other babies are holding bottles, this kid is gonna be holding grudges and lock picks.
Ezra, Holden and Aria… Oh my!
Ezra is back from seeing his ex, Nicole, be rescued from wherever the hell she was in the jungle. However, while Aria is planning the wedding it is pretty clear that she doesn’t think that he’s really “back” for good. He proves it by running off to help Nicole’s parents again.
Meanwhile, Aria is visiting a site for their upcoming wedding and runs into Holden who is now a chef. (Remember, Holden from Aria’s days of running around with Ezra on the DL? He still tells it like it is and he’s still adorable.)
Jenna’s in a Willy Wonka room and I’m confused.
Like everybody else, I’m confused AF as to why the episode ended with Jenna sitting in a totally-blacked-out, Twin Peaks throwback room drinking a fake glass of tea. Then, a nurse in rubber gloves hands her an instruction book about the board game. How considerate of A.D. to give Jenna instructions in Braille. I mean, when he’s not busy killing people… you gotta hand it to the guy. He pulls out all the stops and his china game is on point. After reading through the first few lines, Jenna smiles creepily and utters “ENDGAME!”
I’m just as confused as you but at the same time it feels like some things are falling into place. There are only 9 episodes until the end… let’s enjoy the ride! Let’s just all hope that ride doesn’t leave us doing the ugly cry. Oh, Aria… we’ll always have the ski lift.
