Colony Broussard Season 1, Episode 7 – “Broussard” starts with a church service in which the preacher is conveying to the congregation the idea that the “arrival” is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. Apparently, the conquest of Los Angeles and much of the planet is the start of a process that will lead to “the greatest day,” when Christ will return to bring about an age of everlasting peace and love. Lindsey, the tutor who is teaching Will and Katie’s young daughter, also conveys this message.
Review and recap Colony Broussard (Episode 7)
Brother Nolan, who happens to be married to the art collector Charlotte, for whom Maddie works, is in attendance at the service. He has developed a strange relationship with Maddie, in which he has sex with her while his wife watches. However, Brother Nolan would like to replace Charlotte with Maddie, which places her in a precarious position.
The main plot of the episode concerns Broussard, the resistance wet work operative, whose face Will saw during the previous episode. Will identifies the man as a government contract assassin who went mercenary before the arrival. He is therefore a dangerous man to be left alive and at liberty. Attempts to apprehend him have proven fruitless and, in one case, fatal to some of the Red Hats.
Meanwhile, Broussard is ordered by Quayle, the mysterious leader of the resistance cell, to terminate Katie with extreme prejudice, having concluded that she is a traitor. Broussard takes Katie up to Griffin Park with the apparent intention of following that order but changes his mind and lets her live.
Katie, now concluding that Broussard will likely kill her sooner or later, tells her husband that she thinks a man fitting his description has been in the bar and lived at his mother’s house. Will and a computer expert at Homeland Security put the pieces together and set up a raid to scoop Broussard up. However, when Rachel, another resistance member, tells Katie that she is the one person Broussard trusts, she calls him to warn him. When Will and the Red Hats show up, Broussard is in the wind.
However, Will finds a copy of a book called “Nostromo” which Katie also has and uses as a book code reference. He may be starting to put more pieces together that his wife is a part of the Resistance.
